Wild Protective Suit Could Be The Future For Concertgoers After COVID-19 https://www.audiojuju.com/micrashell/ Tue, 26 May 2020 14:06:51 +0000 https://www.audiojuju.com/?p=918 Created by the Los Angeles-based team behind Skrillex’s Mothership tour and Amazon’s Intersect Festival, the suit would allow concertgoers to attend music festivals and live events in the aftermath of the pandemic.

The Micrashell was designed by Production Club, and includes a helmet, filtration system and an array of LED lighting. They hope it will get crowds back in venues and at festivals without the need for social distancing.

According to  Miguel Risueno, head of inventions for Production Club, “Micrashell is a solution for bringing people together safety, it’s a half suit that kind of takes your safety and your security in terms of being close to airborne particles or viruses to the next level.”

Despite boasting a futuristic design, snap-in canisters can also be incorporated into the suit to allow drinking and vaping while wearing them.

Riseuno added that fans would ideally rent the suit from venues, with staff responsible for sanitizing them after each use.

“We said we still need to find a solution because people are still going out. People are still going to party and still skipping social distance measures… With our solution, we are trying to make space available for everyone because our solution depends on your own footprint rather than distancing yourself,” Riseuno explained.

While the team is working as quickly as possible to get the suit on the market, there is not yet a timeline for availability.

Bonnaroo 2020 Lineup Announced: Headliners Tame Impala, Lizzo and Tool Are Part of a Strong Eclectic Weekend https://www.audiojuju.com/bonnaroo-2020-lineup-announced-headliners-tame-impala-lizzo-and-tool-are-part-of-a-strong-eclectic-weekend/ Tue, 07 Jan 2020 15:52:41 +0000 https://www.audiojuju.com/?p=682 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival is returning this year to Manchester, Tennessee, from June 11-14. Today, the 2020 lineup has been announced. The headliners are Tame Impala, Lizzo, and Tool. The lineup also includes Lana Del Rey, Vampire Weekend, Flume, Miley Cyrus, the 1975, Run the Jewels, Young Thug, Megan Thee Stallion, Brittany Howard, DaBaby, Jason Isbell, Tenacious D, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Nelly performing all of Country Grammar, Cuco, Makaya McCraven, and more.

However, in true Bonnaroo fashion, the trio is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this year’s lineup.

They’ll be joined by Miley Cyrus, Lana Del Rey, Vampire Weekend, Bassnectar, The 1975 and Flume. Other eclectic highlights include Run The Jewels, Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, Oysterhead, Tenacious D, Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Leon Bridges, Young Thug and Grace Potter.

Lizzo will also be making headlines at Bonnaroo, as the first-ever female artist to top the bill at Bonnaroo. The “Truth Hurts” singer is in the midst of a phenomenal year, but she previously came to Bonnaroo (and stole the show) on one of its smaller “tent” stages in 2016.

Alternative rock outliers Tool are returning to Bonnaroo after previously headlining in 2007 – the largest gap ever for a returning headliner. They’ll also perform at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on January 29.

Australian psychedelic rockers Tame Impala have thrived at Bonnaroo – their performance on the festival’s secondary stage in 2016 attracted one of the largest crowds of the weekend. They’ll make their Bonnaroo headlining debut this year, closing out the festival on Sunday night.

Last year was a big one for Bonnaroo. In 2019, the festival sold out for the first time in six years.
