The album – presumably named in tribute to Radiohead’s classic OK Computer arrives January 29 via Atlantic Records. A single titled ‘All My Favorite Songs’ will arrive this Thursday.

Meanwhile, the band confirmed that their previously-announced album Van Weezer is still scheduled to arrive May 7. The band has shared three singles off that record: ‘The End of the Game,’ ‘Hero,’ and ‘Beginning of the End.’

The surprise announcement comes as Weezer fans await the arrival of Van Weezer, the band’s 15th (now 16th) studio album, which was originally due for release in May 2020, but was delayed because of the pandemic. Van Weezer, which is dedicated to Eddie Van Halen, will now be released on May 7 this year.

The revised dates on the Hella Mega Tour are available on the Hella Mega website.

Guitar God Eddie Van Halen Dies at 65 https://www.audiojuju.com/eddie-van-halen/ Tue, 06 Oct 2020 20:23:00 +0000 https://www.audiojuju.com/?p=1006 Guitar icon and Van Halen co-founder Eddie Van Halen, whose innovative and explosive guitar playing pushed the rock band to the top of the album charts for two decades, died on Tuesday morning after a long battle with cancer. He was 65.

Van Halen’s son Wolf announced the news. “He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift. My heart is broken and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this loss,” Wolf Van Halen tweeted.

Van Halen formed in 1972 and became one of the hard rock bands of the ’70s and ’80s, with Eddie’s signature guitar style — equal parts skill, flash and muscle — proving highly influential on the glam metal scene in particular, as well as the connective tissue between the David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar years.

With his distinct solos, Eddie Van Halen fueled the ultimate California party band and helped knock disco off the charts starting in the late 1970s with his band’s self-titled debut album and then with the blockbuster record “1984,” which contains the classics “Jump,” “Panama” and “Hot for Teacher.”

Van Halen is among the top 20 best-selling artists of all time and the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007. Rolling Stone magazine put Eddie Van Halen at No. 8 in its list of the 100 greatest guitarists.
